Streets of Hope
Churches for Streets of Hope, or Streets of Hope as it is also known, is a coalition of churches and community volunteers, of which Boulevard Christian Church is proud to be a part of, who have pooled their resources to provide food, clothing, shelter, and other relief to the homeless, poor and underprivileged people in Southeastern Baltimore County.
They started meeting in 2009, became incorporated in 2010, and opened a 16 bed cold weather shelter for men and code blue shelter that has operated since. They work using shared schedules, locations, and resources from various food pantries/soup kitchens, churches, and social service organizations. Their volunteers and staff have worked with Prologue, Dept. of Social Services, Mental Health Association of MD, and other professionals to provide not only basic needs, but also to coordinate progressive care plans that assist clients in growing toward self-sufficiency, overall providing a positive impact on lives in the community.
